The role

This established healthcare communications agency specializes in creating accurate and engaging scientific content, delivered through a multitude of communication channels. Due to the business‘ successful growth, they are looking for an experienced IT Technician to join their talented team and provide daily technical support to all team members within the organisation.

This role is ideal for an enthusiastic individual with excellent knowledge of current hardware and software. By joining their Oxford branch, you‘ll have the opportunity to contribute to the running and implementation of various technical projects within the IT department.

Your role will also involve:

• Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications
• Maintaining the IT ServiceDesk and resolving tickets for team members based in other locations (logging, tracking and closing service desk calls)
• Day-to-day administration of IT hardware and meeting room technology
• Setting up and administering equipment to new starters and existing colleagues
• Diagnosing software and hardware faults when appropriate and fixing issues as quickly as possible

The person

With an analytical mindset and a problem-solving attitude, you will use your initiative to find solutions for colleagues in a professional services environment. You will also have excellent technical skills and be able to confidently communicate with team members from various departments in the company.

Additionally, you’ll have:

• At least 2 – 5 years of experience working in an IT technician role.
• Strong technical skills, particularly in Office 365, Active Directory, vulnerability and patch management.
• A good ability to develop positive relationships with a variety of people
• An excellent methodical approach to prioritizing tasks and responding to requests
